I guess fishing is in my blood. My grandfather was a gamekeeper in Scotland and my parents both fished and encouraged me as a youngster. There were a few years when it wasn’t central to my life, but I came back to it in earnest while a Reuters correspondent over 30 years, and waters in many far flung places. I fish more determinedly these days and far from my home in County Cork, Ireland.
